It has been a while now since we all left Nottingham
The land of The Zone, Rock City and our friend Xylophone Man
Beautiful sunny days lounging lazily around University Park
Or non stop hopper bus action if living at Jubilee or Raleigh Park
Must never forget the farmers down at SB
Feeding all those sheep cost a big part of your tuition fee
We cattle raided their farms, they scream ‘where have our cows gone’
Must confess I only visited once to see my mate Jon
And then there were the self caters down at Broadgate Park
Put on some pretty big parties in an attempt to make their mark
They seduce you with promises that they could cook you a nice dinner
Pull a Broadgater and you were on to a culinary winner
We all had our favourite different hangouts around our campus
Hallward Library for totty, The Ark for an after hours ruckus
Things change over the years as you discover new places to rave
Who’d ever have thought you’d end up partying in a Trent Building cave?
Many of us have gone on to achieve great things…
Some of our international comrades are queens and kings
Alex Tew made his million with his random homepage idea
Just think if hadn’t he’d still be at Notts in his final year
Priya Kaur-Jones is now the morning star of GMTV
She’s Nottingham Uni’s very own Natasha Kaplinsky
Even Firefly’s Jeet after many student years has got himself a job
Working like you in London, he’s an architect earning a few bob
So just four weeks to go now till we are all united in unison
I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for The Big Nottingham Reunion!
